The dream started with me walking through the woods. The forest was made of birch trees, bare and snow covered. They were so tall I could barely make out where their tops melded with the clouds.
I was walking with a little boy who had one small hand in mine. He had dark brown eyes and brown hair.
I was getting really nervous, had that feeling you sometimes get that something is going to happen. Good or bad, you can't tell. It's just an electric feeling to the air that makes your hair stand on end and sets off your fight or flight reaction. We kept walking until we came to a large building built in a clearing. The forest surrounded it on all sides.
We knocked on the door and someone drew back a small part of the door to peer out at us from a rectangular hole. I could hear loud music thumping inside the building. They guy told us we could come in and use the phone as it was getting dark and I wanted to call someone to come and get us.
Once we went inside there was a long staircase made of cement that led to a sort of bar/dance club. I felt bad for bringing the little boy inside because he looked scared.
While I tried to get a dial tone on the phone the people dancing suddenly grew long, sharp fangs. They started killing people, and everyone who was not a vampire was screaming and trying to get out but it was crowded and the guy at the door was blocking the path back up the stairs.
I found a small window behind the bar and shoved the little boy out and told him to run. I ducked down behind the bar but one of them saw me and they dragged me out into a hallway where there were other people, all of them tied up and chained to the wall.
I ended up the same way but after what felt like a long time in the dream the sun came up and it was quiet. One of the other people with me was a woman and she struggled out of her ropes and went to me. I could tell she was blind because her eyes were a milky white with no visible pupils and cloudy, bluish retinas.
She helped me get loose and we wanted to save the others but they refused, thinking we'd be caught and killed.
We got out but it had snowed and we could barely move through it. The snow was up to our hips. We were making some progress but it got dark again and we could hear the sounds of people all around us. Finally we knelt down in the snow and held onto each other, trying to stay quiet.
One of the vampires, a very tall woman, found us. She grabbed my companion and threw her a few feet away. I pulled a thick, heavy branch off one of the Birch trees and ran at her. I drove the branch through her heart and bright crimson blood shot out all over the white snow.
