I teach a class in front of about thirty students. Glancing at the clock, I see that it is 2:55 - time for a 20-minute break. I say: "Be back at 3:15". Many students walk to my desk, anxious to ask me questions about what we have just talked about. A man in his forties gives me a piece of paper with an "Ant list" written on it. Each ant has received a number ("For identification purposes?", I ask). Besides ant #2001, there is a picture of ex-hockey star Wayne Gretzky.
