It was the end of the world. Stealth Bombers kept crashing over NYC. They blew up like cars do in retro video games - in red zig-zags. I watched from my balcony and everyone else in my building watched from their balconies. We all knew each other. It was like a sit-com and I was the single girl with flowers on her fire escape. Then down the street I noticed a slow procession of police lights and a limousine. Yo-Yo Ma was coming. There was a gazebo-type stage in front of our building and the cars all stopped there and it started to drizzle. Yo-Yo Ma ascended the stage and began to play and maybe to sing, although it may have just been the cello that sounded like a voice. I made the guy next to me on the fire escape turn off his boom box or maybe he just turned it off by himself. I felt like we had a psychic link and I could make him do anything, but I just made him turn off his boom box so I could hear Yo-Yo Ma. Later, I went inside the building downstairs and Yo-Yo Ma was sitting on a couch with a girl and I was crushed. But then he left the girl and came up to me and we were suddenly in love. So we were standing there in love, psychically reminding each other that outside it was still raining and the world was still ending. I think this has something to do with the election, but I'm not sure what.
