I'm down with a nasty cold at the moment so I spend a lot of time resting- not being able to sit upright for too long and all. And whenever I'm ill I get this same sensation when I dream. It's incredibly hard to describe, but it always wakes me up, and I lie there in bed trying to hold it in my mind to analyse it and try and define what it even is.

It's like this feeling with an image, it's not action in the conventional "events" sense, it just is



The colors were dark, browns, muted earthen reds and it was like a piece of material in my mind, encrusted with...clay perhaps, being folded and scrunched in my mind. It was like a taste, furred, metalic, like dry blood...but somehow not... it's that ill taste I get on my tongue whenever I'm..well...ill. I think that's what it is.

A moving image of a taste. And I don't like the feeling that accompanies the dream. Unnerving.

Has anyone else ever had this?
