i am in a stairwell, like the ones in parking garages. i'm by myself, when this grungy, big, 40 y/o guy is suddenly there. i either see his knife, or am sure that he has one. i am frantic and don't know what to do. somebody once told me to try to seduce the guy (not this guy in particular, of course...just any guy in a situation like this) if no other option is available, but i know that isn'tgoing to work. so i start bolting it up the stairs and he is gaining on me. so i slide myself onto the railing and wait until he is almost on me and i slide down one stair case, turn myself, slide down another, and another, until i am running out of the building and suddenly am in China Town with some girl who is apparently my friend. i walk casually and have changed my clothes so that, should that guy show up, looking for me, he won't recognize me from behind. then we're walking on a dock and towards a big ship. we have a mutual feeling that something bad is going on in there, like something illegal. then, for a moment, it's as though i'm watching myself in a suspense film, as i can see myself and my friend walking toward the ship, and back about 100 feet away, that grungy man sitting in his car, watching me.
my friend and i sneak inside the ship, and we were right about the illegal stuff, because there are drugs everywhere. below, there is an opening in the bottom of the ship. my friend and i jump in, hoping to escape by swimming under the ship and getting back to the dock. but we get down there and there is a net so prevent anything from coming in or going out, like fish. we realize then that we are caught, because we can't get back to the way we came in without being seen. we then hear shouts from the men inside; they've spotted us. i wake up.
